To ensure fairness to both our customers and our business, we have set clear rules for order cancellations and refunds. This policy also protects us against misuse, false claims, and fraudulent refund requests.
Order Cancellations
- Orders can only be cancelled before they are shipped.
- Once shipped, cancellations are not allowed.
- If a cancellation request is made after dispatch, the customer must refuse delivery and shipping charges will not be refunded.
Refund Eligibility
Refunds are considered only under the following conditions:
- You received a broken, damaged, or defective product.
- You received the wrong product compared to your order.
- Your order was not delivered within 15 days due to courier failure (not applicable if delivery was attempted but failed due to incorrect address/unavailability).
Non-Refundable Cases (To Prevent Misuse)
Refunds will not be issued in the following situations:
- Claims made after 5 days of delivery.
- Products returned in used, tampered, or damaged condition (caused by customer handling).
- Customer provides false claims of non-delivery while tracking shows successful delivery.
- Customer provides wrong shipping address or contact details.
- “Switching scams”: Returning a different/old product in place of the one we delivered.
- Empty box claims without valid proof (we record package weight and may request unboxing videos/photos for verification).
- Multiple refund attempts for the same product/order.
- Customers found to be repeatedly abusing the refund/cancellation system.
Refund Process
- Once your request is verified and approved, refunds will be processed within 7–10 business days to your original payment method.
- In case of replacement requests, a new product will be shipped after we receive and inspect the returned item.
- If refund misuse or fraudulent activity is detected, The Hardware Hut reserves the right to deny refunds and take legal action under applicable laws.
Legal Protection Against Scams
To safeguard genuine customers and protect our business, we follow strict fraud prevention measures:
- All orders are weighed and recorded before dispatch.
- Courier partners provide proof of delivery (POD).
- Customers may be asked for photo or video proof when raising a damage/missing item claim.
- Repeated fraudulent claims may result in blacklisting of the customer and legal action.
